Lizzie comes to Renew from Ashland Theological Seminary as she finishes her M.A. in Clincial Mental Health Counseling. Receiving her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Mount Union in 2022, Lizzie has always had a passion for understanding the minds and experiences of each unique individual. For the last 6 years, she has been dedicated to her academic endevours as they explore different facets of psychological wellness and healing. During her undergraduate education, she had the opportunity to serve as a student ministry leader for 3 years while empowering college students to live in the hope of Jesus. Lizzie feels so blessed to begin her clinical experience at Renew and looks forward to all the beautiful things in store!
Lizzie's Story
As an occupational and physical therapy aide in an inpatient setting for the last three years, Lizzie has had the opportunity to work with those in vulnerable health situations, providing care for other's physical needs while supporting and comforting them in their mental/emotional needs. Lizzie's favorite part of the job is when she has extra time to stay behind in a patient's room and learn about their story. As she finishes her graduate program, Lizzie can't wait for all the opportunities she will have to hear the stories of others and come along side in their journey to healing. Lizzie operates by the principle that all people are made in the image of God and have unique gifts and perspectives that they offer the world. Lizzie views companioning others in their struggles and journey towards healing as a sacred privilege.
Lizzie is a lover of many things, but especially the serenity and reflection that nature brings. Although loyal to Ohio, she has a bucket list of national parks she'd love to visit. On relaxed days, Lizzie enjoys lounging in her house with her two cats and husband. Lizzie's favorite things are slow Saturday mornings, big breakfasts with her hubby, audiobooks, and pensive talks with friends.
