Christie Lavy, MA, LPCC-S
Christie comes to Renew Counseling Ministries with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. She truly loves coming alongside others as they come to a place of wholeness and freedom in Christ. In addition to her clinical work, she enjoys supervising newer clinicians and helping them to pursue their passions in the field of counseling.
Christie's Story
Building and maintaining relationships are her passion whether that be working with clients or being with her friends/partners/co-workers. Over the years, Christie has appreciated the many different roles she has held in which she has been able to build and encourage relationships and a sense of community among team members. These have included Clinical Leadership Team member, the Child and Adolescent Team Leader, the Coordinator for Clinician Care, and an Adjunct Professor at Ashland Theological Seminary. When not seeing clients, you can often follow the laughter and find her connecting with others in their offices or in the hallway (and sometimes being asked to quiet down!). When she’s not at work, you’ll find her spending time with her favorite people which include her husband and children, having a nice dinner, walking in the woods, listening to music, watching movies, spending quiet time with Jesus, or just hanging out. She also has some pretty amazing friends and extended family with whom she loves to spend time regularly.
